Junior Volunteers
The Junior Volunteer Program is a volunteer program specifically designed for high school students.
Each Saturday during the school year, the teenagers meet and
assist the farm staff with a variety of different chores.
Some of the projects completed this year by the Junior Volunteers
Cleaning the animal stalls
Socializing the animals
Painting the barns
Presenting public programs
Assisting with special events including the Boo Walk, Pumpkin Pickin', Autumn Celebration
Working in the garden
Assisting in decorating the farm for Christmas and cutting the Christmas trees
Maintaining trails, raking leaves and helping keep the farm looking beautiful
How to become a Junior Volunteer
Any high school student is eligible for the Junior Volunteer program.
New members are accepted in September following an interview process.
